Day 02
Old Dhaka and overnight launch
Visit Lalbagh Fort, Dhakeshwari Temple, Star Mosque, Ahsan Manzil and Sadarghat as opening hours allow, then board a reserved cabin for Barisal.
Day 03
Barisal backwaters and Bagerhat
Explore a seasonal floating market and village canals early, then travel by road to the UNESCO mosque city and continue to Mongla.
Day 04
Enter the Sundarbans
Complete permit formalities, cruise into the reserve and make a guided walk or creek excursion at an approved forest station.
Day 05
Sundarbans creeks and forest walks
Use a small boat at quiet hours, follow a permitted forest trail and continue toward Kotka or Kochikhali as tide and weather allow.
Day 06
Return to Khulna
Take a final morning creek trip, cruise back to Mongla and drive to Khulna for a proper hotel night and laundry break.

Day 10
Departure
Transfer to Dhaka airport with a generous traffic allowance, or add a custom extension if your international flight leaves on a later date.

Transport, stays & season
Travel logistics
Review the practical choices that shape a comfortable multi-stop journey across Bangladesh.
Practical travel notes
This route includes an overnight passenger launch, three nights on a simple expedition vessel and one long transfer between southwest and northwest Bangladesh. Train, launch and forest schedules are confirmed only after dates are known.
Practical price basis
The starting price is $1,590 per person for four guests sharing twin or double rooms on regular-season dates. Smaller groups, single rooms, private vessel charters and upgraded hotels cost more; every inclusion is reconfirmed in writing.
Best time for this route
October to March generally offers the most comfortable combination of road travel and Sundarbans cruising. Monsoon journeys need more flexibility, while cyclone warnings or unsafe river conditions can require a revised route.
